Christopher Rautman, age 66, renowned geologist and beloved husband, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017. He was born on August 19, 1950 in Albuquerque, NM, to Arthur and Emily Rautman who have preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Janice Rautman; daughters, Anna Medendorp and husband, Greg, and Gretchen Rautman; brother, Marcus Rautman and wife, Susan; sister, Alison Rautman and husband, John Rauk; stepson, David Perry and wife, Veronica; stepdaughter, Denise Bowman and husband, Bart; and four step-grandchildren, Maya, Alex, Aaron, and Caitlin.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 6901 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. A reception will follow. Interment will follow at a later date in Arkansaw, WI. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church; Philmont Scout Ranch, Cimarron, NM; or the Christoper A. Rautman Geology Scholarship Fund at Carleton College in Northfield, MN.
