Christine Messenger, 67, beloved mother, was called to her eternal resting place on May 8, 2018. She entered this world on April 7, 1951 in Boxborough, MA, born to Russell and Pauline Steele. She is survived by her sons, Wade Messenger and Keith Messenger; her four treasured grandchildren, Jove (17), Alex (15), Andrew (12), and Mariah (8 months); daughters-in-law, Alicia Rucker and Summer Messenger; and sister, Liz Crawford.
Born in a small town in Massachusetts, her family lived on a large parcel of land where they grew Christmas trees. She loved the ocean, being on the beach and all types of seafood. She was very active and enjoyed playing the guitar and loved to play sports including basketball, softball, and tennis. Christine was a tremendous cook and baker. She loved to make a great meal and see the happy faces as they enjoyed every bite. She moved to New Mexico to complete her degree and graduated with her MBA in accounting from UNM's Anderson School of Management. She spent the remainder of her life in Albuquerque, raising her two sons in the North Valley.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. at FRENCH – Wyoming.
