Christine Battershell

Christine Battershell, 73, a long-time resident of Corrales, passed away peacefully, on Thursday, November 15, 2018.  Christine was born on April 12, 1945, in Raton, NM, the daughter of Elsie and Robert Baca. Christine is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Elsie Baca; and brother, Serafin Baca.  Christine is survived by her husband, Jay Battershell; her sons, Peter, Paul, Derek, and Jarrod; her step-daughter, Michelle Sandoval of Los Lunas; her two children, daughter, Kerri and son, Kameron. Her siblings, Pat Baca, Pauline Sayed, Sylvia Holden, Gerald Baca and wife, Diana, Julie Thomlison and husband, Gary, Virginia Koehlinger and husband, Rick; sister-in-law, Julie Askins and husband, Jim of Pagosa Springs, CO; and her grandchildren, Tomaiis Herrera, Cody Battershell, Tristan Battershell, and Jarrod J. Battershell – Lopez; and eight nephews, and nieces, and many cousins.

She was a very giving and kind person, she was loved by all and will be forever missed.

Services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, Rose Garden, 924 Menaul Blvd. N.E, on Friday, November 30, 2018, at 1:00 p.m.
