Christina Eve Jillson, 94, was peacefully called into the arms of angels, on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, the anniversary of the death of her beloved spouse, Lt. Col. Edwin T. Jillson.
Christina was born in Manchester, NH, on March 25, 1922, to John and Christina Platek. She was married to Lt. Col Edwin Jillson on March 14, 1945 in San Antonio TX and moved to New Mexico in 1949. Christina was a loving and caring mother to her five sons. She was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her spouse; and sons, Edwin and Kevin. Christina is survived by her three sons, Christopher, Brian and Gregory, their spouses; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Christian Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 12, 2016, 8:30 a.m., at Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish, 2621 Vermont St. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. A private graveside service will take place the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers and in accordance with Christina's and the family's wishes, memorial donations can be made to the Edwin J. Jillson Memorial Scholarship Fund at New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, 801 Leroy Pl. Socorro, NM 87801.
