Chong Suk Kim (aka Suki Meskimen), passed away peacefully on December 1st, 2024 in Albuquerque, NM at the young age of 71.
Suki was born in Seoul, Korea on December 25, 1952 and came to the United States in the 70's, living most of her life in New Mexico. Suki was known for her brilliant love-language: Food. Her signature devotion shined as a beloved restaurateur for many years in both Albuquerque and Las Cruces, NM. She lovingly fed countless family, friends, and communities throughout the years. No one ever went hungry in her presence. She loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, siblings, and extended family immensely. Her generous love will be missed dearly by all.
Suki is survived by her son, Lawrence; daughters, Jeanie and Emily; son-in-law, Alex; grandchildren, Jordan, Xander, Zaine, Gregory, Johnny, Phillip, and Kianna; great grandchildren, Gianna and baby girl on-the-way; niece, Ashley; sister, Chong Sil; as well as more family in Korea, including her eldest and youngest brothers; extended family, Kathy, Etta, Judy, Aliyah, Blaise, and Lukas; her former husband, Ray, whom she remained close with. She was preceded in death by her older brother and great grandson, Luca.
