Chester Sherman Gibson

Chester Sherman Gibson, known to all of us as Sherman Gibson, 96 years young, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016. Sherman was born in Padroni, Colorado on December 16, 1919 to Chester Hubert Gibson and Florence A. Straub. He is the 3rd oldest of the six children, his brothers, Fred and Robert, and sisters, Florence, Ruth and Velma. He is beloved by his family and friends and will be missed dearly by all. Sherman is preceded in death by his loving wife, Marjorie E. Moore. He is survived by his sister, Ruth Godsil, of Camas, WA; two daughters, Bonnie Wood, and husband, LeRoy of Clayton, NM and Sharon Jones and husband, Jack Jones, of McLean, VA; grandchildren, Robyn and husband, Steven Millard, Wade and wife, Lisa, Wesley and wife, Dolores, Christopher Chaney, and Lauren Fox and husband, Ben; 14 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great grandchildren. Friends may visit one hour prior to the Funeral Services on Friday, November 25, 2016, 1:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Following the interment, everyone is invited to return to FRENCH - Lomas for a reception where they can share stories about how this great man touched so many hearts.
