Charlotte May Jorgensen (Turner), age 82, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, formerly of Dyer, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2020. She was born in Decatur, Illinois on June 16, 1937, the eldest daughter of Thad and Doris Turner (Jackson). She married her life-long love, Erling Ingard Jorgensen Jr., on January 28, 1956. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years; their five beloved children, Wanda (Jeff) Coates, Daniel (Laura) Jorgensen, Cary (Jeff) Nordyke, Dennis (Kerstin) Jorgensen and Dawn (Joseph) Swanson; their thirteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, William (Karen) Turner. She leaves to mourn her loss one sister, Cheryl Steiner (Turner), and three brothers, Leonard Turner, John (Karen) Turner, Paul (Wendy) Turner, and numerous nieces and nephews. She left her fingerprints of love on the lives of all she cared for and all who cared for her.
Charlotte was a creative soul who spent many hours crocheting and sewing. She loved traveling the world and solving a good mystery through adventures in literature. For many years, Sunday dinner was her gift to her family, followed by a spirited afternoon game of pinochle. She loved the challenge of a game of chance and enjoyed a visit to the casino whenever she could. Charlotte was deeply loved in life and will forever live on in our hearts and memories. She will be dearly missed.
