Charlotte Beatrice (Rodgers) (Golden) Harper, 95, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away Mother's Day, Sunday, May 14, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. One of eleven children, she was born Friday, December 30, 1927 in Dover, Pennsylvania to the late Clarence F. and Florence E. (Wire) Rodgers. Charlotte was a strong woman of faith and instilled this love of the Lord in her children. Her family loved her and will miss her; but they look forward to seeing her on the great day of the Lord's returning.
Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Sandra Goff and husband, Scott; son, Sidney Golden and wife, Lois; and son, Stanton Golden and wife, Lisa, all of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and their spouses; eleven great-grandchildren; and, a sister, Effie E. Landis, 99, of York, Pennsylvania; and many nieces and nephews.
Charlotte was a member of the Heights Seventh Day Adventist Church. During her working career, Charlotte worked as a seamstress in a clothing factory and as a copy editor at Maple Press Publishers in York, Pennsylvania. She earned her Certificate in Nursing Assistant in 1989 from TVI and was a care giver for many years to home bound patients. In her spare time, Charlotte enjoyed hiking in the mountains, painting, playing Scrabble/Upwords, solving word puzzles and spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren.
Gravesite services will take place at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd., NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
