Charlotte Duborg – born Charlotte Stewart on March 12, 1920, in San Antonio, TX, passed away in Albuquerque, NM, August 6, 2017. After growing up in Covington, LA, Charlotte graduated from Southeastern Louisiana College in Hammond, LA, with a Bachelor of Arts in 1942. In 1943, she married Henry Fleisher and moved to Mentor, OH. She and Henry moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1961. In 1979, she married R. W. (Gus) Duborg, and they moved to Coronado, CA from 1979-1991, before returning to Albuquerque, NM, where she lived until her passing at the age of 97.
Charlotte was an active Duplicate Bridge player in Albuquerque, achieving a “Life Master” designation in the late 1960’s. In Coronado, she and Gus were very active in the Coast Guard Auxiliary and participated in many boating activities as members of the Coronado Yacht Club.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Fleisher, who passed away in 1980; and her second husband, Gus Duborg, who passed away in 2001; and by most of her many dear friends. She is survived by her three children, Stewart Fleisher (Jacki), of Denver, CO, Susan McKnight, and Mark Fleisher (Toni), of Albuquerque, NM. Charlotte said her greatest achievement was raising three loving children.
Charlotte traveled the world and visited every continent and in excess of 70 countries, and enjoyed over fifty cruises. She made friends easily and was always in a good mood. She will be deeply missed by her children.
