CHARLES W. VOLZ
Charles W. Volz, age 89, beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away on October 8, 2015. Charles graduated from Pratt Institute as an architect, and he practiced in New York City extensively before moving to New Mexico in 1965. He continued his work here, then served the City of Albuquerque as Chief Building Official for about 18 years.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Rosalie, and his children, James, Linda, Tecia, Laura, Gretchen, Victoria, and Thea and their spouses. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and their families, and former wife, Tecia Volz. He was predeceased by his daughter, Liza, and his grandson, Asa.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at Christ Lutheran Church, located at 7701 Candelaria NE. Friends may visit at church one hour prior to service. Final resting place will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ Lutheran School, 7701 Candelaria NE, 87110.
