Charles Arthur Trauth Jr.

Charles (Chuck) Arthur Trauth, Jr., 84, an amazing father, husband, friend, scholar, and educator, passed away on October 20, 2021.

Chuck is survived by his three children, Laura Louise, Sean Alexander and his wife Ashly Nicole Mendez, and Sara Ashley; by his brother, John (Jack) Frederick; by his niece, Karrie and her wife Angela; by his nephew, Jim and his wife Mariana and their son Evan; and by his ex-wife, Sharon. Chuck enjoyed and played both classical guitar and piano, joined with his family for many years as avid skiers, loved football, enjoyed DIY home remodeling, and served over 40 years in National Defense R&D. Chuck developed and taught a novel science curriculum to enable early elementary schoolers to develop a strong background and to help encourage their interest in science.

After a 16 year remission, Chuck ultimately lost his battle with cancer.
