Charles Eugene O'Haver

Much to his surprise and disappointment, Old Charley died on August 7, 2018 at the age of 92. In 2011, he was preceded in death by Donna Mae Beck O’Haver, his wonderful wife of 62 years. He is survived by two daughters, Trudy and Vandi; and a son, Brett; as well as six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Charley was born June 10, 1926 on a farm in southern Iowa, raised in Minnesota, and worked a few years in Ohio. In 1956 he moved his family to New Mexico. Intervening years were filled with serving in the Navy during WWII, receiving college degrees from the University of Minnesota and UNM. Retiring after 30 years from civilian service with the Air Force, Old Charley lived another 35 years in retirement.

Services will be held Saturday, August 25, 2018, 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH – Wyoming.
