(1937 - 2012) Memorial services for Charles F. "Chuck" Nielson will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 7, 2012 at the Lindrith Baptist Church. Chuck passed away on Monday, December 3, 2012. Chuck was born on October 7, 1937 in Monroe, Utah to the late R.G. and Bertha Nielson. He earned a B.S. degree in Sociology from Brigham Young University. He had a 33-year career with Texas Instruments with the last eight serving as corporate vice president responsible for worldwide human resources before retiring in 1998. Chuck was an appointee to President George H. Bush's 1998 Drug Advisory Council, a fellow of the National Academy of Human Resources, and a carrier of the Olympic torch for the 2002 Olympic Games. He was also a recipient of the Society for Human Resource Management Award for Professional Excellence in 1997 and was involved in numerous community organizations in Lindrith. He is survived by his wife, Jean Nielson of Lindrith, NM and two sons, Jon (Tami) Nielson of Floydada, TX and Michael Nielson of Dallas, TX; two grandchildren Crystal (David) Rae of Lubbock, TX and Seth Nielson of Floydada, TX; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret "Meg" Nielson of Monroe, UT and Christine (David) Anderson of Las Vegas, NV; and brother Lee R. (Connie) Nielson of Richfield, UT.
