Charles Benites

December 18, 1958 — March 31, 2025

Charles (Charlie) Arthur Benites was born on December 18, 1958, in Tucson, Arizona, and passed away on March 31, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, after a courageous battle with cancer. He is reunited in spirit with his beloved father, Charles; mother, Bertha; stepfather, George Aguirre; and wife, Donna.


Charlie leaves behind a cherished family that includes his son, Bryan Benites(Julie); daughter, Jeaniva Pillado; and his grandsons, Seth and Andre, as well as his granddaughters, Danielle, Lila, and Lucia. He is also survived by his loving sisters, Ana Benford(Mark) and Marie Sutter(Dave), and his brother, Ralph Benites(Debbie.)


After dedicating 30 years of his life as a machinist at GE, Charlie embraced retirement with passion, immersing himself in his woodworking and leatherwork and various artistic ventures. His creativity knew no bounds, and he approached every endeavor with meticulous attention to detail. Charlie was a unique spirit who had a gift for making every situation just a little more interesting!


Though he has left this world too soon, his legacy will endure through his family. He will be dearly missed by all blessed to know him.


Funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 811 Guaymas Pl NE Albuquerque, NM 87108 on April 25, 2025 at 11:00am with reception to follow at El Pinto Restaurant. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society.
