Charlene Bryant went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on July 5, 2016 with her loving daughter, Catherine Darlene (Sis) by her side. Charlene was 79 years old. She was kind and loving, a dedicated mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who, was beautiful on the inside as she was out.
Charlene was born on November 5, 1936 in Mountainair, NM on the family farm. Charlene worked and managed the Cattlemen's Restaurant in Belen, NM for many years until her retirement.
She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Darlene Cox and husband, Jimmey; grandchildren, Darla Cox, Krystal Cox, Jamie Glasgow and husband, Fitz, Charlene Drake, Nichole Drake, Jason Drake, Jada Drake, Janice Drake, Jessie Drake, Melissa Drake, Jennifer Drake, David Drake, Charles G. Drake, and Sabrina Drake; sisters, Dudley Sue Bock, and Patricia Richards and husband, Robert; brother, Jerry Medley and wife, Susan. She also leaves behind many cherished great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Charlene was preceded in death by her loving sons, Charles Alton Drake and Freddy Allen Drake Jr.
A Celebration of Charlene's Life will be held Saturday, July 16, 2016, 4:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Los Lunas, 914 Los Lentes Rd SE in Los Lunas, NM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America at www.alzfdn.org.
