Chadrick Calvin Cavanaugh, age 38, beloved brother, was called to his eternal resting place on Friday, January 14, 2022. He entered this world on January 11, 1984, at Clark Air Force Base Angeles City, Philippines, born to Richard and Marilyn Cavanaugh. He is survived by his father, Richard Cavanaugh; mother, Marilyn Cavanaugh; brother, Chuck Cavanaugh, and sister, Charlynn Cavanaugh.
Looking back at Chads life you can find him in many photos side by side with baby sister, Charlynn. Chad seemed to embrace being the oldest
and took on the responsibility with a smile. Chad was the most serious of the siblings however, had a sense of humor that could not be matched. With intelligence, wit and the perfect timing Chad could always make anyone laugh. Chad enjoyed playing pranks on friends but mostly on younger brother, Chuck. Chad had many talents that he loved to show off, singing his favorite R&B songs had to be one of our favorites.
School came easy to Chad, he excelled in academics from elementary school all the way into college. Moving and changing schools in Elementary was difficult. He found himself not enjoying the school and decided to skip for a week. To avoid getting in as much trouble he kept his little sister, Charlynn home with him also. His plan did not work so well as he found himself in a lot of trouble.
As the oldest Chad was very independent and driven. He began working at the age of 14 at Cici's Pizza. He continued to excel at Rio Rancho High School play varsity Football and Varsity track. Along with working, school, sports, he also made breakfast burritos at home and sold them at school for some extra money.
In his adult years he attended UNM, worked as a civilian at Kirtland Air Force Base, and developed a passion for landscaping. Chad loved cooking with his mom, Marilyn. Chad perfected cooking some of his favorite Filipino dishes like Chicken Adobo, Sinigang, and fried Tilapia.
