Celeste Melloy

MELLOY, CELESTEAge 92, a resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, November 18, 2012. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Robert Melloy of Albuquerque; children, Pam Shumard of Rio Rancho, Joe Melloy and wife, Laura of Albuquerque, Steve Melloy and wife, Anita of Farmington, Nick Melloy and wife, Ann of Albuquerque, Guy Melloy and wife, Penny of Albuquerque, Dan Melloy and wife, Cathy of Tijeras, Michael Melloy and wife, Marianne of Corrales, NM; 18 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; sister, Bette Helling of Dubuque, IA and many other family and friends too numerous to mention. Mrs. Melloy was preceded in death by her parents Nicholas and Catherine Knepper and 8 siblings. She was born in Fillmore, Iowa and met the love of her life there. Celeste was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. She dearly loved her family and will be greatly missed. Celeste moved with her husband to Albuquerque in 1949 and she was very supportive of her husband and family in all business endeavors, including the automotive business. The family would like to express a special thanks to Therisa, Siniva, Geraldine and Beatrice, for their wonderful care of Mrs. Melloy. A Rosary will be recited Monday, November 26, 2012, 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 27, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, with Msgr Francis X. Eggert, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday, 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. before the Rosary. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
