Cecilia P. Conner

CONNER, CECILIA P. Cecilia P. Conner, our mother, sister and friend died August 7, 2013. Cecilia was born in Iowa on June 17, 1922 to Charles and Catherine Mullen. She was one of eleven brothers and sisters. She grew up in Council Bluffs, IA and lived in Kansas City, MO, Pittsford, NY and finally Albuquerque, NM. Surviving are her children, Michaele (Jeff) Hustad, Pat (Ed) Harrington, Ken (Karen) Conner and Geoff (Carol) Conner. Her grandchildren are Jonathan (Michelle) Hustad, Maureen Hustad, Ken, Katie and Ailis Conner Maddy Hustad is her great-grandchild. Surviving, also, are her brother, John (Velma) Mullen and her sister, Theresa Kelly. She leaves many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Her husband, Kenneth, and her son, Chris predeceased her. She also had many brothers and sisters who predeceased her. Cecilia was a wonderful mother, sister and friend to many. She was interested in so many different areas. Even in the hospital, she asked many times what was happening in the Middle East. Cecilia was active in Annunciation Parish. She volunteered for St. Vincent De Paul and was a Marianite. She loved taking communion to the sick and homebound. She was an avid reader and was a volunteer tutor in a public school. She loved God, her family, her friends and her church. She leaves a hole in our hearts, but also lovely memories that we have shared with her. Our family appreciates all the love, support and prayers for our mother. A rosary will be recited Monday, August 12, 2013, 8:00 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial following at 8:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Annunciation Catholic Church, 2532 Vermont St. NE.
