Catherine Eulalia (Marquez) Snyder

Catherine Eulalia Snyder passed from this life to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. Cathy was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, and leaves behind many who loved her deeply. She is best described as a beautiful, kind, and caring person who could light up a room with her beautiful smile. Cathy was a Valley Viking and graduated in 1968. She was devoted to her beloved husband, Russell R. Snyder, all of her brothers and sisters, and her beloved dog, Zeus.

She began her working career shortly after graduation. She ventured off to San Diego and began work at Peat Marwick Mitchell. Her southern California life brought many new friends and shaped her to be the fun-loving person she was. In the early 1980's, Cathy decided to come back to her roots in Albuquerque to be with her family here. While working for Klinger Construction, she met her beloved husband, Russell Robert Snyder. She instantly became the mother of three sons, Zack, Zeb, and Zeke Snyder. Cathy developed a talent for crafting and an eye for unusual collectables. She would always help others when she could and was always very generous.

Cathy was very close to her sisters, nieces and nephews, and loved her grandchildren. She is survived by her four siblings, Elaine Grillos, Gerilyn Harrison, Rumaldo J. Marquez, and Roberta Roybal and their spouses; stepsons, Zack, Zeb, and Zeke Snyder; grandchildren, Alex, Zane, Zoey, Austin, Luke, Ayden, Max, Zuri, Zyah, and Coco; her beloved nieces, Jacqueline and Valerie; nephews, Jimmy, Vincent, and Paul; and grandnephews, Santiago and Alejandro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russ Snyder; mother, Evangeline Aragon; father, Rumaldo Marquez; brother, Thomas B. Aragon; and stepfather, Thomas Aragon.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, August 18, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at FRENCH - University. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Albuquerque Christian Children's Home would be appreciated.
