Carolyn Ruth (Tormey) Dorso

Our beloved mother, Carolyn Dorso, 83, passed away on March 4, 2018. She was born on January 9, 1935 in San Antonio, TX, born to Thomas Patrick and Annie Louise Tormey and eventually moved to Albuquerque. She graduated from Highland High School in 1953. She worked for the Public Service Company of New Mexico, where she met her husband, Jack Dorso. They were married for 61 years when Jack passed away on March 22, 2017. Carolyn enjoyed working in her garden, bowling and spoiling her dogs. She had a great sense of humor and her smile would light up the room. She will be greatly missed. Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Lisa Baughman and husband David of Albuquerque, NM, daughter Mary Neale and husband David of Happy Valley, OR; son Michael Dorso and wife Joanne of Tucson, AZ; and brother and sister-in-law Tom and Shirley Tormey of Phoenix, AZ. Carolyn loved her grandchildren, John and Matthew Dorso, Ashley Neale and Justin and Conor Baughman. She also leaves many cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and she deeply missed her beloved sisters and brother-in-law’s Emma and George Gillespie and Joann and Frank Keene. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018, 11:00 am at FRENCH – Wyoming.
