Carolyn V. Day, 85, passed away May 24, 2015 with her family at her side. She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Stroup and husband, Michael, Sheri Maloy and husband, TJ; grandchildren, Ryan Matson and partner, Katie Levi, Shelby Alexander, Aaron Maloy and wife, Kelli, and Shawn Maloy and friend, Marie Robinson and her daughter, Nevaeh; great grandchildren, Audry, Presley; and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; her parents, AP and Birdie Lee Cox; and her two sisters, Dorraine Dunlap and Ethylene Simmons. Carolyn was born in Texas and moved to Albuquerque with her husband where she was a secretary for the Albuquerque Public Schools. She was a talented seamstress, enjoyed crocheting and was an extraordinary cook. Her grandchildren were especially fond of her famous caramel meringue pie. She enjoyed many years of travel with Don and they visited many national parks. Carolyn was always up for a good game of 42 or Wahoo. Private services will be held and she will be laid to rest at Santa Fe National Cemetery with Don.
