Caroline D. Posanski died Sunday March 8, 2015. She is survived by her sister, Marcy Cegla and husband Ed Cegla of Milwaukee WI; daughter, Kathleen DiLorenzo and her husband, Charles DiLorenzo of Albuquerque NM; son, Robert J. Posanski Jr. and wife Rebecca Posanski of Albuquerque NM; grandchildren, Annette Di Lorenzo Thayer and husband Murray Thayer, David DiLorenzo and wife Kimberly DiLorenzo, and Kimberly Posanski all of Albuquerque NM; and great-grandchildren, Madison, Thomas, Jackson and Lily DiLorenzo all of Albuquerque NM. Caroline was born in Milwaukee, WI on December 26, 1921. She graduated from high school in three years and was offered a scholarship to college. Carol, however, chose to marry her love Robert Posanski February 15, 1941. After Robert served in the US Army Air Corps in Albuquerque NM, they returned to Milwaukee WI to open their first bakery. They moved back to Albuquerque in 1957 and opened Carol's Bakery on San Mateo Blvd. After 24 years of providing fantastic cakes, doughnuts and bread, they retired and moved to Sun City, AZ. There they enjoyed bowling, golf and the many crafts that Carol shared with her friends. They moved back to Albuquerque in 2004 to be closer to family. They will forever be remembered as Grandma and Grandpa Doughnut. Thanks go out to everyone at Westwind House Assisted Living and all of the care givers at Lovelace and Gentiva Hospice. A rosary and burial mass will be recited at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 16, 2015. Entombment will follow.
