Caroline Gloria Abeyta

Caroline “Gloria” Abeyta, 67, passed away peacefully Friday, August 21, 2020, due to medical complications. She was born on April 4, 1953, in San Antonito, New Mexico, to Andres Gonzales and Maria Anita Sanchez Gonzales. She married her best friend and love of her life, Larry S. Abeyta, on April 15, 1972. Gloria is survived by her husband, Larry S. Abeyta; her three sons, Alejandro, Patricio and Miguel; two daughters-in-law, Melanie and Megan; four grandchildren; Donivan, Aidan, Mariah and Kasen; her brothers, sisters, and many nieces and nephews to which she loved and cherished deeply.

Gloria was an adored sister, devoted wife, and a loving mother and grandmother. She put God first in every aspect of her life. She always had time to listen and would often minister to people she came in contact with. She would lift you up in scripture and words of encouragement. She loved being outdoors, fishing, and camping. One of her greatest joys was her grandchildren, she enjoyed spending time with them. She will be remembered for many things, but mostly for capturing life’s moments with a picture, she loved to take pictures! She was a blessing to many and will be greatly missed.

Due to COVID-19, a small, private service will be held Friday, August 28, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., all others can view the service, via the live-stream here . Gloria will be laid to rest at 11:30 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE, where friends and family are invited to pay their respects. Flowers can be sent to FRENCH – Lomas.
