Carole Lynne (Sholtis) Rusk, born June 7, 1978, passed away peacefully in her home in the early morning of September 16, 2022, after an extended battle with liver disease. In life, Carole was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, wife, mother, cousin, niece, and aunt. A 1996 Graduate of Manzano High School, she was a member of the Monarchs Band, playing the flute and piccolo. As a 1996-2000 student at TVI and UNM, she pursued a degree in Elementary Education, and subsequently applied her acquired skills as an Office & Operations Manager at Roller KIng; a Sales Associate & Customer Service Representative at Service Merchandise; a Pre-School Teacher at Southwest Childcare; and a Bookkeeper & Scheduler at My Window Man. Carole enjoyed yoga & meditation, jogging & walking, reading, playing the flute, and cuddling with her puppies. Her family, however, was her pride & joy....and her three children, each intelligent, kind, caring, and loving, are her true legacy. She is survived by her ex-husband, Timothy Rusk after 21 years of marriage; her children: Analise, Evan, and Connor Rusk; her parents, Joseph and Cheryl Sholtis; her brother, Christian Sholtis and his wife Diane; her niece, Olivia Sholtis; and her nephews Nicolas and Mateo Sholtis; along with several cousins as well as aunts and uncles back east. Carole adored her children, loved them dearly, and will most assuredly miss them dearly! Eternal peace, Carole.
