Carol Susan Brennan was born to Henry and Frances James on July 14th, 1941 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is with great sadness for our family to announce her passing. At 83 years old, she went to meet the Lord on August 13th, 2024. Carol married the love of her life, Edward Brennan on January 11th, 1961 and spent 63 beautiful years with him. Loving mother of 4 children, Carol was full of grace and love. She did not judge others and spent her life living for her family. Coming from a large family of her own, she was the 2nd youngest of 10 children. Adding to her legacy, are 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She raised these children and grandchildren with love, compassion, empathy and exhibited God's grace.
Carol was an incredible artist, dabbling in every type of creative craft. She had an extreme passion for taking pictures of the family. She loved her gardens, both flowers and vegetables. She spent years sketching portraits of her brothers and sisters, learned to carve everything from woodland creatures to her favorite Santa Claus sculptures. She practiced pottery, making stained glass mosaics, and even created benches and bird baths out of sand, leaves and concrete. Utilizing anything and everything around her to create and inspire. There was not a single thing she couldn't do. Not only did she create, she involved her family in every project. Teaching us how to draw, build, carve and imagine a world where our only limits were ourselves.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Brennan; her sister, Barbara A. James; her daughters and their spouses, Kelly & John Frey, Kathlyn & Max Graham, and Karyn & Gary Sullivan; her son and his wife, Edward & Amanda Brennan; her grandchildren, Conor, Carol, Shanna, Joseph, Andrea, Tracy, Brennan, Megan and spouse Levi, Cairstin, and Gwynaeth; her great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Carlitos, Ezekiel, Greyson, Lochlann, Benjamin, Alexander, Adalynn, Theodore, and Onyx; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was our greatest champion and will be missed dearly.
