Carmen Simmons, age 83, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, December 12, 2021. Carmen is most remembered for her generosity to her family and friends. She loved country western music and going dancing.
She is survived by her children, Ivan and Patti, Evangeline, Alexandra, Lisa and Rick, and Gweneth and Jon; grandchildren, LaVon, Logan, Christopher, Jake, and Kailee; one great-grandchild, Kellen; brother, Tony Chavez; and sister, Betty Spangler. She also leaves many cherished nieces and nephews. Her neighbors and close friends, Hilda, Betty, Patsy, Clara were helpful to her when she needed them. They were always in her heart. Thanks to High Desert Hospice for all their help and support in our time of need.
A Traditional Latin Catholic Church. The Rosary will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 9:10 a.m. with the Requiem Mass to follow at 9:30 a.m., at Saints Peter and Paul, 5800 Ouray Road NW. Friends may visit at 8:45 a.m. Interment will take place following the Mass at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
