Carmen Barquin (Alcoy) Rutherford

Carmen B. Rutherford, age 64, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, December 9th, 2021.

Carmen was born in the Philippines and moved to the United States after meeting her husband, Tommy.

Carmen battled Lupus for many years, but she was able to persevere by living an active lifestyle. She spent many hours working in her yard and tending to her roses. She enjoyed karaoke and hanging out with her friends eating their native Filipino foods. She had a great love for her family and always did the best she could. She always said, "I do the best I can!"

She is survived by her son Johnny and wife Grace and son Jesse; daughter Anna-Marie; Five grandchildren Malia, Bryant, Jasmine, Kingston and Akira; as well as her family in the Philippines.
