Carlos E. Osuna

March 14, 1945 — October 1, 2024

Lifelong resident of Albuquerque, Carlos Eduardo Osuna, passed away October 1, 2024. He was born March 14, 1945 to Isabelle R. Osuna and E. Eduardo Osuna (Babe). Carlos married JoAnn (Jody) Childers, November 20, 1976. He is survived by sons, Scott (Mary) Childers, of T or C, NM, and Paul (Stephanie) Childers of Littleton, CO; sisters, Sylvia Osuna of Buffalo Junction, VA, and Marta Osuna (Richard Trenholme) of Denver, CO.; grandchildren, Joseph Childers, Lawson Childers, and Katherine Childers; four great-grandsons; two great-great-grandchildren; niece, Elena (John Perleberg) Trenholme; nephew, Barrett Trenholme; and one great-niece. Carlos was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn (Jody) Childers; and grandson, Eric Childers.

Carlos was a 1963 graduate of Valley High, attended UNM, and studied welding at Michigan State University. In 1975 he graduated plumbing/pipefitting medical gas, through the local 412 union where he was a member and taught classes for over 50 years. 

Carlos loved his family and enjoyed fly fishing. His last great joy was working with the refurbishing team of the 2926 steam locomotive

Services will be held Friday, October 11, 2024, 11:30 a.m., at FRENCH – University, followed by a graveside service at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menual Blvd. NE.
