Carla Therese Zabalza

Carla Therese Zabalza, 61, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 11:44 a.m. with her family and friends by her side. She is survived by her loving husband, Johnny Zabalza; daughter, Andrea Griego and husband, Jude Griego; son, Felipe Zabalza; mother, Andrea Lucero; brother, Michael A. Lucero and wife Barbara Surbey; mother -in -law, Dolores Zabalza; brother and sister-in-law, David and Kathleen Zabalza, sister-in-law, Helen Zabalza; grandchildren, Isaac, Joshua Valenzuela and Ilijah Griego, and all of her extended family and friends.

She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. She spent her life loving the Lord and serving her church. Her life was all about caring and loving others unconditionally. Anyone that knew her knew that she loved her dates at Hobby Lobby. Crafting was her happy place! After a long battle with heart problems amongst other health issues, she went home to be with her Lord. She is now singing beautiful harmonies in paradise. All family and friends are welcome to celebrate Carla’s life with us!

Her service will be held Wednesday January 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Paradise Hills United Methodist Church located at 4700 Paradise Blvd. NW Albuquerque NM 87114.
