Carla Ann Madison

Carla Madison, 55, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend was called to her eternal resting place on Thursday, November 30, 2023. She entered this world on December 2, 1967, in Albuquerque, NM. She attended John Marshall Elementary School, Lincoln Jr. High, and graduated from Albuquerque High School. After graduating from High School, her first job was at Powdrell's Barbecue. She also worked for Nusenda Credit Union and the University of New Mexico.

She was a member of Phillips Chapel CME Church. And as a member, she enjoyed working with the youth of the church. She organized the Brownie and Girl Scout Troops which earned a trip to Disneyland. She organized a drill team that performed all over Albuquerque and competed and performed in several other states and also took a trip to Disneyworld. She also loved the Seniors of the church where she sang.

She was a big Lobo Basketball fan maintaining season tickets for several years. She loved to travel and visited several countries on cruises. After moving to Dallas, Texas, she completed her Bachelor's Degree and was employed at Dallas College as an Accountant.

Carla loved singing Karaoke and left a catalogue of her singing over 700 songs. She made and sold her own line of jewelry which she was very proud of. She also loved crafting and making greeting cards. She had several friends in Dallas who have reached out to her family in New Mexico. They all talk about how they loved Carla and how much she will be missed. Carla was a very kindhearted and giving person who loved her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Madison; and both sets of Grandparents. She is survived by her mother, Mildred Seelson; stepfather, Sterling Seelson; brothers, Setsmon Seelson and Freelan Harris; sister-in-law, Sharon Seelson; special niece, Stephanie Karner; and many nephews, nieces, uncles, and cousins.

A viewing will be held Thursday, December 7, 2023, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at FRENCH - University. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, 11:00 a.m., at Phillips Chapel CME Church, 1401 Edith Blvd. SE.
