Carl Lee Lucero, Jr

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carl Lucero, who peacefully passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023, at the age of 53. Carl was a loving father, husband and son who will be greatly missed. Carl was born in 1969 in Albuquerque, NM to Carl Lucero Sr. and Yvonne Baca, both of whom are still living. He was the youngest of 2 children. Carl's love for Tejano music inspired him toward becoming a professional drummer, audio engineer and composer along with many hats he wore in the music industry. He embraced a life of creativity through his music. Carl's career stretched over 40 years, recording and performing in various contexts, including New Mexican and various music. Carl will be sadly missed by his wife of 34 years, Karen, and his only son, Evan. Carl's legacy of music will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace.
