Candice Dunlop, 71, of The Meadows, Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away September 5th, 2021, at her home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 6th, 2021, at the Unity Spiritual Center with Reverend Gordon Kyler officiating. French Funerals and Cremations will oversee the arrangements.
Candice was born in Denver, Colorado on August 16th, 1950, to Junior C. Wyse and Donna R. Lugbill. She graduated from Tempe (Arizona) High School in 1968, and from Arizona State University in 1972. Candice married Joe Dunlop July 4, 1981, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The highlight of her life was the birth of Carly, their only child. She loved the times spent with Carly as a child and later as an adult becoming her best friend. Candy worked for the University of New Mexico Hospital as a Medical Technologist for 30 plus years. in 2010, Candy and Joe moved to a retirement community in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Candice was involved in the many activities offered in the community including yoga, line dancing, and volunteering in the community garden. She was also an active volunteer for many years with the Hemophilia Foundation. Joe and Candy loved traveling together. Some of their favorite trips were taken to Scotland; France; Cozumel, Mexico; Sedona, Arizona; and Angel Fire, New Mexico. She was a lover of animals especially cats. Her pets included a bunny as well as many cats. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Joe Dunlop. Survivors are her daughter, Carly Dunlop of Albuquerque; brother, Karlin Wyse and wife, Myrna of Archbold, Ohio; brother, Patrick Wyse and his wife Terri of Archbold, Ohio; sister, Marcia Vargas and her husband Raul of Upland, California; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Unity Spiritual Center, 9800 Candelaria Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112 on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 11am.
