Calvin Scott Hjelle

It is with great sadness that the family of 27-year-old Calvin Hjelle announces his passing on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. Born on Wednesday, March 3, 1993 he was a beautiful, vibrant baby who filled our hearts with joy and love. He had a robust and infectious laugh and sense of humor even as a young child. Throughout his life he was bright and inquisitive. He also showed great compassion for people and animals and would go out of his way to help and comfort anyone suffering. He was grateful for all the goodness he had but acutely aware of pain and hardship that surrounded him and others. At the age of 19 he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and struggled to live a full life despite the many challenges he faced. We will miss him greatly but carry his wonderful spirit as we move ahead. He is survived by his mother Carol, father and stepmother Brian and Laurie, sister Nicole and her boyfriend Joe, nephew Elliot, niece Ophelia, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
