Apostle Cail Morris, Sr. was born to the union of the late Deacon Danier Morris, Sr. and Ruby Lillie Bell Simpson Morris in Sandersville (Washington County), Georgia, on 23 April 1945.
He graduated from Thomas Jefferson Elder High School, Sandersville, Georgia, on 31 May 1962. Always having a desire and commitment to serve, he enlisted into The United States Air Force in 1964. After completing basic training and specialty school, he was soon deployed to combat in Vietnam, serving as an Advanced Air Cargo transportation specialist. He benefited from experiencing assignments throughout his illustrious military career in Arizona, North Carolina, Hawaii, New Jersey, Arkansas, Alaska and retired at Kirtland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Cail Morris, Sr. achieved the 2nd highest enlisted rank of Senior Master Sergeant (E-8) and honorably served our great nation for over 26 years. As one of his last assignments, he served in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm before his retirement.
God positioned Cail to ministries commensurate with his military duty assignments throughout the world, which allowed him to use his professional skillsets and spiritual gifts. Always walking in humility, he was never preoccupied with position or recognition. He was focused on responding to “The Call of Duty” by supporting the ministries where he was planted. He acknowledged and answered the spiritual call and was ordained as a deacon in 1984 at True Victory Baptist Church, North Pole, Alaska. In 1988, he was assigned to Kirtland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, N.M. He quickly found himself immersed in being a plank holder and gap-filler for various church ministries for roughly five years. He accepted God’s call to become an ordained Minister in 1993 and established Greater Light Ministries soon after. This ministry focused on training and equipping churches and preparing missionaries to serve in various parts of the world with emphasis within the five-fold ministry.
