Bryant Lee Roberson

d. May 24, 2015

Bryant Lee Roberson, 56, a longtime resident of Albuquerque went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, May 24, 2015. He is survived by his sisters, Cheryl Lueck and husband Gary of Albuquerque, Stacy Johnson of Jenks, OK, Judy Goforth and husband Ray of Owasso, OK and Barbara Jenkins of Chicago; nieces, Chantelle Lovato, Tiffany Boes, and Tracey McClain; nephews, Colby Hennig, Evan Goforth and Steve Lueck; aunt, Zonda Pierce; his special "niece" Jessica Hennig; very close friend, Lori Melkey; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Anita Jenkins and step-father Walter; father, Carl Roberson; and brother-in-law, Rob Johnson. Bryant was a graduate of Edison High School in Tulsa, OK where he excelled in music, with a love for the saxophone. He attended the University of Oklahoma (OU), on a music scholarship and was a member of the marching band and performed in two Orange Bowls. He was devoted to his career in Information Technology and later Telecommunications. He held various positions at Intel in his 16 years, starting as an automation network technician and finally a Telecommunications Engineer. He was employed nine years as a Network Specialist with B&D Industries. Bryant had a strong passion for Jesus, was a lover of Jazz and Christian music, enjoyed fly fishing, and was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Oklahoma Sooners. His joy came from spending time in The Word, with his family, and on his computer. He will be remembered for his love of animals and his love to laugh and how his whole face would light up when he laughed. For being such a quiet soul, Bryant has left a huge void in our hearts. A celebration of Bryant's life will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015, 3:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming. Private interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his honor to NM Jazz Workshop, 5500 Lomas NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110, Attn: Vicki Dugger or to Animal Humane NM, 615 Virginia St. SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108, Attn: Jenn Fox.
