Colonel Bruce Williams, USAF Ret., passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015. He was born in Denver, CO to Dale and Lucille (Fincher) Williams and graduated from Littleton High School and later from Colorado State University. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1957 where he served a very distinguished and well decorated career as an F4 pilot during Vietnam where he completed over 100 missions. He became a Colonel in 1979 and continued his service as a flight operations and procurement officer for the rest of his 30 year military career. After his retirement, he worked as a real estate agent for several years at Coldwell Banker. Most recently, Bruce served as a volunteer at the VA Medical Center in Albuquerque and was always ready to help his friends and neighbors. He enjoyed many passions including fishing on the San Juan River, skiing in the Sandia Mountains, watching his favorite movie "Top Gun", helping animals (especially his Dobermans) and any other activity where he could share time with his family. Bruce is survived by his wife, Stephanie and children: Joshua, Carolina and Jordan Williams of Albuquerque; daughter Marla Williams and her children Jack and Kate; sons: Grelon Williams and his son Matthew; Nevin Williams and his wife Ana and their children Alex (and her daughter Holle); Zachariah Cole Williams and Nevin, Jr. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Patti Bean Elliott; and his beloved Dobermans, Annabelle and Beauregard. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Ann Lansaw and Sally Lintz. Nicheside committal services will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, 1:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe with military honors provided by the United States Air Force.
