Dr. Bradley Kanode, 59, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015 at his home in El Porvenir, New Mexico. Brad was survived by his wife of 32 years, Nancy; son, Logan (Komal) Kanode, son, Cid (Lorena) Lopez, daughter, Taylor (Junior) Nascimento; father, Arden Kanode; sisters, Mary Payne and Pamela Davis; grandchildren, Leia, Cidney, Naomi, and Ean; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends, including his patients. Brad loved caring for others, spending time with his family, playing with his grandchildren and building anything with a hammer. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and had many plans for future international trips. He read his Bible daily and prayed for everyone he knew and was very active in the Seventh-day Adventist church in Las Vegas, NM. He touched the hearts of everyone he came in contact with and felt that God had called him to care for the sick. He was devoted to the people of Las Vegas, New Mexico and to improving his community. His friends and family described him as a selfless person and a true Christian. Brad's final days were filled with laughter and joy surrounded by his family whom he loved so much. To those who knew him as a family member, a friend, as their doctor, or even just as an acquaintance, his ultimate hope for all of you was to stay close God, to live a healthy lifestyle and to love one another.
