She was born in 1927 in Pennsylvania and after graduation from high school, Bonnie enrolled in a nurse training school in New York City to aid the war effort. During the two year program, she met and fell in love with Bob. They were married in 1948 and began their family. Upon moving to Albuquerque Bonnie was a full time homemaker and the family of four enjoyed many happy years together. She worked briefly as a nurse at Presbyterian Hospital before joining Bob in their store, Howden Stationary Company, where they worked together for 15+ years. After retirement, Bonnie was able to pursue her passions for gardening and painting. She produced many beautiful pieces of artwork which she sold or gave away. Bonnie and Bob loved to travel in their trailer and were active in The Young at Heart Choir for over 20 years. She was active in her church, the Sunshine Garden Club, and Shooting Stars Square Dance Club which she and Bob organized. Bonnie was a devout Christian and a real "people" person. She loved spending time with family and friends. Bonnie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and will be missed deeply by those who knew her.
