Bonnie Marie Orelli

Bonnie Marie Orelli, age 69, passed away April 17, 2017, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a school teacher and counselor for many years in Colorado.
Bonnie was an avid dog lover who in retirement dedicated time to Tails of Joy, a program that uses therapy animals to improve the literacy skills of children. She took her much-loved dogs into the local schools to work with children with special needs. Bonnie visited Esther Bone Library and Barnes & Noble bookstore for reading, where she and her dogs Arlo and Chauncey became celebrities in the area.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, David Hutchinson; her children, Chris, Jason, and Brian Hutchinson; and grandchildren, Miranda, Tate, Ava, Kira, Olivia, and Sophia Hutchinson and Raymond and Sara Gibbons. Bonnie was preceded in death by her daughter, Mai-Linh Gibbons; and her parents, Gordon and Inez Orelli.
A Service will be held at St. Francis Episcopal Church at 2903 Cabezon Blvd SE (at Golf Course and Cabezon) in Rio Rancho, NM, on Friday, April 21, 2017, at 2:00 pm with a reception to follow. Memorial contributions may be made to Tails of Joy, checks payable to ‘Bonnie Orelli Memorial Fund’, mailed to Theresa McKinney, 480 Littler Drive SE, Rio Rancho, 87124.
