Bonnie Grace Hoeberling, who loved to be called "Bonnie Belle" by her children and grandchildren, went home to Jesus on the Lord's Day, Sunday, June 5, 2022, in Albuquerque, NM. Our precious Bonnie Belle was 88 years old. She was born on September 9, 1933, in Toledo, OH, to Rose Basso and William Potter. Bonnie held a bachelor's degree in Social Work from Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, IN. She served as a deaconess before marrying her college sweetheart, Robert Hoeberling, in 1956. She devoted her life to her marriage and children and was a wonderful homemaker. When her children were grown, Bonnie assisted her husband in his counseling service, Hoeberling Christian Counseling. She also served in numerous church groups over the years and volunteered for a place very dear to her heart, The Right to Life Committee of NM. Bonnie was a member of Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she participated in Covenant Group and Prayer Group. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, puzzles, walking, Bagel Buddies group, eating out, shopping, traveling, the flea market and garage sales. Bonnie loved the Lord and was a spiritual person in all aspects of her life. She was a devoted caregiver and a faithful servant to others. As a pastor's wife, she was supportive, compassionate and a blessing to everyone who knew her. Her greatest passion was spending time with her family and friends. Bonnie never missed an opportunity to send cards and sing "Happy Birthday" in her beautiful voice. A private family graveside service will be held on July 1, 2022, at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Bonnie is survived by her three daughters, Cynthia Chapman (Paul), Barbara Nord (Michael) and Susan Wolf (Gregory); six grandchildren, Lauren Shreve (Patrick), Jesse Nord (Kiersten), Shea Nord, Ashley Barton (Joshua), Mikaela Wolf and Madison Wolf; and one great-grandchild, Maeve Nord. Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband Robert Hoeberling, her son Mark Hoeberling and her grandson Reece Nord. Bonnie experienced many life challenges, but she did not hide or dismiss them. As a bright light through it all, she saw and shared the eternal blessings that God brought about through each one. Our beloved Bonnie, a sweet, amazing woman, will be missed dearly.
