Bonnie Bess Griffin, age 101 died peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. She was born in Petosi, Texas and later moved to Albuquerque after her marriage to Woodrow Clevenger. Some years after Woody's death, she married Pete Griffin and lived for 13 years in Warren, Oregon until his passing. She moved to San Antonio, Texas to live with her daughter and then back to Albuquerque.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Sheets; granddaughter, Tammy Colemen and husband, Dan; their children, Sam Coleman and Katie Wyatt and husband, Brooks, and great-granddaughter, Courtney Noble; her son, Larry Clevenger and wife, Lynne; their children, Jason Clevenger and Aaron Clevenger and sons, Logan and Evan; and Lauren Hughes and husband, Kyle and their children, Wyatt and Emory. Her grandson, Jeff Noble sadly passed in 2022.
Bonnie enjoyed many adventures and made many friends in her 101 years, but her greatest joy was always her family and smiles always for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. If there was a message for her to leave it was "love the children and give hugs often."
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
