Trogdon, Bobby Lee "Trog" Bobby Lee Trogdon, age 84, a resident of Albuquerque since 1996 and a native of Asheboro, NC, died on March 11, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nina Welch Trogdon; his daughters, Teresa Trogdon Anderson, MD (Robert Anderson) and Lee Ellen "Lell" Trogdon; his grandson, Charles Trogdon Anderson, PhD (Laura Fletcher); step-granddaughter, Abigail Anderson (David Schloss); and two great-grandchildren, Oscar Fletcher Anderson and Henry Anderson Schloss. He was a graduate of Asheboro High School, University of Nebraska, and University of Arkansas. Trog retired from the Air Force as Chief Master Sergeant. He was a veteran of the Korean and Viet Nam Wars, and a member of Disabled American Veterans. He was a former teacher, Program Director, and Assistant Superintendent of Randolph County, North Carolina Public Schools. Past President and Member of the Asheboro Lions Club, Past Chairman and Member Randolph County Board of Health, Member National Association of School Administrators, American Vocational Association, and National Association of Educators. Trog was a Past Master and member of Zia Daylight Masonic Lodge #77, member of Temple Lodge #6, Scottish Rite and York Rite Bodies, and Past Worthy Patron Order of Eastern Star. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Albuquerque and volunteered for the First United Methodist Church Homeless Grace Meal Program. Additionally, he volunteered at Popejoy Hall for several years. Trog made a profound difference in so many lives. He never met a stranger, was loyal and genuine in his friendships, and loved his wife, daughters, son-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with abiding devotion. Trog loved animals, especially cats, and took great pleasure digging in the dirt and enjoying the sunshine. He was a man of dignity and simple pleasures. He believed the impossible just took a little longer. A Masonic Funeral will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015, 3:00 p.m., at the Temple Lodge, 3801 Osuna Rd NE. A Memorial Service and Reception will be held on Sunday April 26, 2015, 4:30 p.m., in the main dining room at Palmilla Senior Living, 10301 Golf Course Rd. NW. A private interment with military honors will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
