LANGE, BLANCHE U.Age 94 of Albuquerque since 1972, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013. Blanche lived and traveled all over the world. She was generous, always positive and looking forward. She was a devoted nurse to veterans of all branches. She lived her life full wide open, full of adventure, and love. Hers was a life well lived completely. Blanche was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Lange. She is survived by her son, Bob Lange and his wife, Caroline of Sandia Park, NM; her brother, Zygmunt Sobczak and wife, Dolores, of Parma Heights, OH; two grandchildren, Chris Lange and Michelle Lange; and three great-grandchildren, Richard, Justin and Tiffany. Blanche was a member of St. Jude Thaddeus in Paradise Hills. She graduated Cum Laude from Duquesne University, and earned a Master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She was an Assistant Professor, College of Nursing at UNM, a Psychiatric Clinical Specialist RN MS for the Veterans Hospitals in Brecksville, OH, Puerto Rico and Albuquerque, NM. Awards: U.S. Senate Pioneering Women Award; Commendations from UNM, the VA, and Vets Orgs.; including, The Navajo Code Talkers. She would encourage all to love God, nurture your loved ones, and don't wait, live fully now. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 27, 2013, 1:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Westside.
