Beverly June Sauer

Beverly June Sauer went into the arms of the Lord on Monday, October 19, 2015 at the blessed age of 91 in Albuquerque, NM. Born in Overland Park, Kansas on May 17, 1924, she was one of four daughters of Albert Jarvis and Ariel Prenilla. She met her future husband, Jack Murray Sauer, in Kansas City during World War II. They were married on September 23, 1944 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Beverly and Jack lived from New York to Hawaii during Jack's military and government service, settling in Albuquerque after his retirement. She was mother to seven children, grandmother to ten, and great-grandmother to four. Although she occasionally worked outside the home, her pride was in having raised industrious, capable children. She was a member of Military Honored Ladies, Order of the Eastern Star, and Daughters of the Nile. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack; her sisters, Mary Elizabeth and Edla Nellis; her daughter, Donna Kay (newborn) and son-in-law, Robin Lease. She is survived by her twin sister, Barbara Jeanne of Atlanta, Georgia; her children, Joel Murray Sauer (Judy), Nancy Sue Lease, Linda June Murray, Jerry Guy Sauer (Janice Barbara), Janice Pat Honeycutt Hering (Jim), Jeffery Greg Sauer (Tomoko); her grandchildren, Kimberly, Michael, Jennifer, Eric, Kaori, Matthew, Timothy, Madison, Sean, Brianna; and her great-grandchildren, Harrison, Atticus, Connor, and Reid. Memorial Service will be on Saturday, October 24, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church, 201 University Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106 with reception to follow. Ennichement will be at Gate of Heaven cemetery in Albuquerque. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Animal Humane Society, 615 Virginia Street SE, Albuquerque NM 87108.
