Bev's smile was contagious. She praised God and welcomed anyone in need. For years, she held a women's bible study group in her home. On March 15, 2021, we had to say goodbye to our loving mother, devoted sister, and adoring grandma.
Beverly was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Max Pons and Mary Ann Saltzman in November of 1956. She had a deep interest in education. As a young mother, she volunteered at Edgewood Elementary School before homeschooling her children until their graduations. She served as a girl scout leader for her daughter's girl scout troop for many years.
Bev was also an avid bowler. She bowled on the Golden Ladies bowling team for three decades and made several long-lasting friendships to the sound of pins crashing in the background. But, she loved the outdoors too. She filled her garden with bright roses, fresh vegetables and spent countless hours outside.
Beverly joins her parents, her first husband, Terry Rhea, and her second husband, Franklin Craig Morton. She is survived by her son, Danny Rhea; her daughters, Leslie Davis and Lisa Moore; her daughter-in-law, Traci; her son-in-law, Brian; her siblings, James Pons and Diane Mead, and her grandchildren, Gage, Lily, Zachary, Ayden, Audrey, Willow, Malachi, Cameron, Adelynn and Jaxon.
A private family memorial gathering will be held Saturday, March 20, 2021.
Save us a spot next to your beautiful space in Heaven, Bev. We will miss you until the day we see you again.
