ELDER, BEULAH M. Beulah M. Elder, 84, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2014, after a brief illness. Born on a farm in Kansas, Beulah came to Albuquerque at age 7. She graduated from Albuquerque High School, and married her beloved husband, Bill Elder, in 1950. Beulah worked at Albuquerque National Bank and later as a library assistant at Sierra Vista Elementary School. She devoted her life to loving and caring for her family. She leaves a legacy of wisdom, humor and compassion. Beulah is survived by her husband of almost 64 years, William Elder; her son, Thomas Elder and his wife Linda Byrd; her daughter, Kristin Owens and husband Ron Owens; her grandchildren, Angela Elder, Daniel Elder, Emmaly Owens, and Elizabeth Elder; a great-grandson, Jasper Elder; and sisters, Shirley Richardson of Abilene, TX, Darleen Coney of Tucson, AZ and Charlotte Pugh of Oklahoma City. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Charles Elder. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 10 a.m. at FRENCH - University, 1111 University Boulevard NE. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to First Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque.
