Betty H. Ruble

Age 87, a resident of Albuquerque since 1963, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2014. She is survived by her children, Charles Irland, Richard Irland, Jeffrey Irland, Lori Battiste, and Kathryn Metcalfe and husband, Larry; step-daughters, Sandra Ryan and husband, Bill and Patricia Houk and husband, Doug; grandchildren, Jeremy Metcalfe, Josephine Battiste, and Kimberly Irland; and great-granddaughter, Lily Ann Metcalfe. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Roland "Skip" Ruble. Mrs. Ruble taught at Inez and Dennis Chavez Elementary Schools. She served as a docent at the Albuquerque Museum and was a member of the American Business Women's Association. She enjoyed her family, playing bridge, gardening, travel, and history. A Memorial graveside service will be held Saturday, February 22, 2014, 2:00 p.m., at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menual Blvd. NE.
