Betty Ronquillo

January 30, 1932 — September 8, 2013

RONQUILLO, BETTY C. January 30, 1932 - September 8, 2013 Betty Ronquillo lived 81 blessed years before being called to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She met her loving husband at Albuquerque High School. After proposing marriage to him, he said yes, and they were married for 61 years. Together they created a beautiful family having five loving children and eight wonderful grandchildren. While raising her children she worked at Kistler-Collister in the office for many years, with a flair for fashion. One would rarely see Betty in the same thing twice and her hair was always beautifully done. She was a wonderful and caring mother who always put her children first. She was preceded in death by her father, Max Castillo; mother, Jesse Castillo; sisters, Dolores Castillo; Rosemary Timmons and Frances Duran; and brother, Freddy Castillo. She is survived by her loving husband, John N. Ronquillo and children, Linda Bluestein and husband, Rick, John M. Ronquillo, Mark Ronquillo and wife, Jeanne, Anna Ronquillo Hasler and husband, Doug, and Paula Ronquillo Frederick and husband, Smith. Also her grandchildren, Marissa and Blake Bluestein, Max and Katie Ronquillo, Patrick and Daniel Hasler, and Kiana and Jared Frederick. She is also survived by sisters, Maxine Pozega (Bob) and Clara Castillo (Susie Tobin); and brothers, Max Castillo (Carmella), Joe Castillo (Ann), Tony Castillo (Ginner). A Rosary will be recited Monday, September 16, 2013, 6:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Lomas. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 9:00 a.m., at The Shrine of St Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd. NE. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
