Betty Jo Roark peacefully passed away at the age of 84 on Wednesday, April 27, 2022. Betty was born in Borger, Texas, on Saturday, October 9, 1937 to Ernest and Esther Fenno. Betty, a life-long member of the Church of Christ, was raised in the Texas Panhandle, graduating valedictorian from Lefors High School in 1956. She is survived by her son, Jerry Roark (wife, Lisa Gwen); daughter, Dina Venn (husband, Donald); her nephew, Wyatt Fenno (wife, Thu); six grandchildren, Ruth (husband, Orlando), Brett, Martha (husband, Daniel), Andee, Leah, and Joseph; and three great-grandchildren, Olivia, Evelyne, and Roman. She was preceded by her parents; her husband, MSgt. Joe E. Roark; her brother, C.E. Fenno, and his wife, Jo Ann; her sister, Ruth Tucker, and her husband, Dewitt Tucker, and their son, James Tucker.
Betty exemplified hard work, courage, and love for her family and friends.
Her ashes will be laid to rest next to her husband at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
