Betty Ann Koehler, age 80, has lived in Albuquerque since 1968. She passed away peacefully at her home Sunday morning, November 17, 2013. Betty is survived by her husband of 38 years, William (Bill) Koehler; her daughter, Vicky Bryan; son Pierce Runnels and wife Cathy, all of Albuquerque; grandchildren Scott Bryan, and wife Mandy of Albuquerque; Ed Bryan of Denver; Tyler Runnels of Prestonsburg, KY; and Juliana Runnels and Nicolas Runnels of Albuquerque; step-children Vickie Averhoff and husband Jeff, of Stanley, NM, and Jeff Koehler of Mesa AZ; step grandchildren, Heather and Sarah Averhoff of Stanley, NM and brother, Len W. Ogden of Paducah, KY; nephew Seth Ogden and wife, Kristen and great nephew, Smith, all of Silver Springs Md. She was preceded in death by her son, Allen Runnels. She was born in Lexington, Kentucky on November 26, 1932, to Len and Ellis Ogden. She attended University of Kentucky and after moving to Albuquerque worked at the UNM Hospital blood bank for many years. Betty was an avid bridge player and along with her husband Bill, made many special friendships throughout the years. Betty was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and friend and will be greatly missed. Friends may visit on Thursday, November 21, 2013, for an 8:30 am viewing followed by a 10:00 a.m. service at FRENCH - Wyoming. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park immediately following.
